Fire Rescue News - FOUR DISPLACED AFTER PLEASANTVILLE FIRE

PLEASANTVILLE -- A family of four is displaced Tuesday night, after a fire ripped through their Pleasantville home.

Firefighters responded to N. 4th St. around 8:15 p.m. for reports of a structure fire. While the cause of the blaze is unclear at this time, officials say the second floor of the home sustained severe fire and smoke damage. It's unhabitable, and the Red Cross is assisting the family.

Fire crews from Absecon and Northfield also responded to the scene.

There were no injuries and the incident is still under investigation.

Fire Rescue News - VENTNOR FIRE DISPLACES TWO RESIDENTS

VENTNOR -- Two people have been displaced and their home damaged by a fire early Wednesday morning.

Crews were called to a home near the intersection of Richards and Ventnor Avenues around 11:00am where a fire broke out in the lower level unit of a two story apartment house.

Fortunately the two people inside were able to get to safety without sustaining any injuries. However, officials estimated the damage at close to $100,000.

For now the cause remains under investigation. The Red Cross is also working to relocate the displaced residents.
