A child playing with a lighter in his bedroom is believed to be the cause of an accidental fire in Pleasantville that displaced four people, the fire department said. Fire Capt. Charles Freeman said that the fire was reported at 5 p.m. at a single family ranch on the 1100 block of Iowa Avenue. Two engines and a ladder truck were soon on the scene, Freeman said, and the fire was under control by 5:10. The Northfield and Farmington fire departments assisted. Three adults and the juvenile were displaced by the fire, Freeman said. They were being assisted by the Red Cross.
