Incident #96: Van Fire Reading Ave

Incidents 2007

The Elwood Fire Company Responded to a possible structure fire at 4001 Reading Ave at 11:00pm Nov. 5th. On arrival Chief Anthony Tomasco found a fully involved 14 passenger van near a structure.

Engine 16-3 arrived with a crew of 6 and extinguished the fire without damage to the building. Tanker 16-5 with a crew of 4 supplied water & manpower.

Incident #93: Landing Zone Assignment

The Elwood Fire Company responded to a landing zone assignment near Lawman's for an assault victim at Six Pack's Pub. Engine 16-3 landed the helicopter and assisted with the patient.

Incident # 87 Landing Zone Assignment-Lawmans

Incidents 2007The Elwood Fire Company was called out for a Landing Zone Assignment near Lawmans on Rt 30 due to a Motorcycle vs dog accident. One man was air lifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. Unfortunately the dog and pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday Oct 10th Mullica Twp Firemen preformed fire prevention demonstrations at the Twp Schools and at the Elwood Fire Company.

"Practice Your Escape Plan!" — that's the message of Fire Prevention Week 2007. It's not enough just to have a fire escape plan. To escape safely from a home fire you've got to make sure that everyone in the home has practiced the plan as well.
