EVFC Incident #83 11/18/2014 at 4:51pm - 4525 Pleasant Mills Rd for a Chimney Fire

IncidentsEVFC was dispatched to mutual aid to Sweetwater at a residence for a chimney fire. Upon E16-3 arrival, crew of E16-3 supplied lighting and provided chimney cleaning equipment. E16-3 assisted in extinguishing chimney fire. Fire contained in chimney only. All station 160 units were cleared with no incidents at 5:44pm.

An Egg Harbor City man killed his girlfriend and her 7-year-old son, then set the home they shared on fire, according to charges filed Friday.

Joseph F. Palmer III, 38, who lived in the Washington Avenue home with Michelle and Gavin Pabst, is charged with two counts of murder and aggravated arson in the deaths of the mother and son, whose bodies were found inside after firefighters put out Wednesday’s blaze, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced Friday.
