EVFC Incident #50 07/16/2014 at 12:11pm - 5126 New Hampshire Ave for a Smoke Investigation

IncidentsGave mutual aid to Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Company for the smell of smoke in the garage. 1620A determined that the source was a faulty appliance. All arriving units were recalled at 12:26pm

EVFC Incident #49 07/10/2014 at 10:19am - 3054 Reading Ave for an Activated C/O Alarm

IncidentsStation 160 was dispatched to a residence for a activated CO alarm. Upon arrival, R16-2 met with home owner who believed it was a fault detector and had already notified alarm company. CO detector was used around the tripped alarm and no CO was detected. Station 160 cleared the scene at 10:59 am with confirm false alarm.

Galloway Township firefighters battle blaze, heat exhaustion this afternoon

All five Galloway Township fire departments were on scene of a residential fire today in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue.

Police said the residents escaped safely, but firefighters are still on scene at 5:20 p.m., almost two hours after the fire was first reported, police said.

Firefighters on scene are being treated for heat exhaustion.

There were several animals in the home, but firefighters were not able to rescue all.

The cause of fire is under investigation.

IncidentsCalled for a report of a lighting strike. Investigated and found slight odor of electrical burning. Made area safe - advised homeowner to call an electician All Station 160 units were clear at 2:03am.
