EVFC Incident #18 03/21/2013 at 9:50pm - Reading Ave & Frazier Ave for an MVA with Landing Zone Assignment

IncidentsSingle vehicle MVA on Reading Ave near Frazier Ave. Engine 16-3 responded to Lawman\'s Supply and set up a landing zone. Assisted EMS with moving patient from ambulance to helicopter. Rescue 16-2 responded to Reading Ave & 5th Ave for traffic. All units clear at 11:27pm

EVFC Incident #17 03/19/2013 at 11:59am - 4130 Reading Ave for a Structure Fire

Incidents30 X 40 poll barn fire. Found fire out on arrival by person on location. Recalled all other units with the exception of Station 160. Person was welding and ignited gas can that was in building. Burned ceiling tiles and insulation. Pulled down tiles and insulation checked for extension- found none. Used fan to clear smoke fron building. All Station 160 units were clear at 12:24pm

EVFC Incident #16 03/18/2013 at 7:55am - 883 7th Street in Hammonton for a Structure Fire

IncidentsOne story single family dwelling fire in Hammonton. Tanker 16-5 responded & dumped 1 load refilled at hydrant at 8th st & So Egg Harbor Rd. returned to scene. Staged then was released. Returned to station 160 & dismissed Laureldale\'s Tanker. Engine 16-3 responded to cover Hammonton\'s Station 1. All Station 160 units were clear at 10:00am.

Radio believed to be cause of local nursing home fire

NORTHFIELD -  No one was injured in the early morning fire at the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield.

The fire broke out around 5 am on the first floor of the building. The sprinkler system was activated.

17 patients were evacuated out of the affected hallway and removed to the Nursing Home's dining area while firefighters cleared the area.

Atlantic County officials say the fire remains under investigation but is beleved to be started by a radio in a patient's room.

Operations have returned to normal at the home.

House burns down in Corbin City

Corbin City fire

A home was destroyed in a fire in Corbin City Tuesday.

State police report a house fire started from the electrical wiring on the 100 block of Aetna Drive in Corbin City, according to a preliminary report by the Atlantic County Fire Marshall's Office. The office will continue its investigation Wednesday, police said.

The home was fully engulfed in flames but no injuries were reported by police. The homeowner Theodore Meskers of Ocean City said the house was an occasionally used vacation home, police said.
