EGG HARBOR TWP. - The Egg Harbor Township Police Department made an arrest Friday in the arson fire at the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company on August 5. After a lengthy investigation, a 20-year-old Egg Harbor Twp. man, whose identity is being withheld due to mitigating factors, was arrested and charged with aggravated arson and burglary. He was released on a summons pending court.
Cardiff Volunteer Fire Chief Rob Winkler says that the fire did not affect their ability to respond to fire calls. Winkler estimates the fire damages to be approximately $90,000.
