EVFC Incident #14 02/19/2014 at 6:22am - 2611 Fords Ave in Sweetwater for a Dryer Fire

IncidentsCalled to assist Sweetwater for a dryer fire. Tanker 16-5 responded. First unit, 1620A, on location reported light smoke showing. Tanker 16-5 arrived and was recalled by command on scene services not needed.

One injured in Pleasantville fire

Pleasantville fire

PLEASANTVILLE — One person was injured in a fire that ravaged a home Monday afternoon on Seneca Avenue.

The Pleasantville Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a single-family home on the street about 2:30 p.m. When they arrived, there was heavy fire throughout the home's first floor, extending out the windows up to the second floor, Battalion Chief Ken Crawford said. The fire was under control shortly after 3:30 p.m.

All eight occupants were out of the building when firefighters arrived, and one had sustained minor burns, Crawford said. That person was taken to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point by Northfield EMS for treatment. No names were released.

Fire companies from the Atlantic City International Airport and Northfield assisted the Pleasantville Fire Department  at the scene, while companies from Absecon and Ventnor provided coverage for the rest of the city.

ATLANTIC CITY - Atlantic City officials responded to a fire at the Knights Inn motel on Sunday morning.

A police sergeant, an off duty volunteer firefighter and a motel employee were the first on the scene.

IncidentsMullica Township Fire Departments were dispatched to an activated fire alarm at the Homestead. Upon Fire department arrival, no fire or smoke was showing. Upon investigation, No fire was found.
