IncidentsReceived a call for a tree on wires. Arrived on scene and determined that there were no public hazard. Gave dispatch the pole number to notify AC Electric and cleared the scene.

IncidentsStation 160 was dispatched to 4001 Reading ave for a activated fire alarm. Upon investigation, no fire or smoke could be found; fire alarm was checked and reset. All units cleared scene at 7:16am.

IncidentsReceived a call for an activated fire alarm at the Homestead. A faulty detector caused the alarm to activate. 1600A cleared the alarm and cleared the scene at 6:31am.

IncidentsOn arrival 1600A found water was off to the water heater and it was over heating. Shut off gas to water heater and made it safe. Advised owner not to run water heater with outwater to it. All station 160 units were clear at 12:20pm

Fire destroys Hammonton home

A fire quickly engulfed and burned through a Hammonton home on First Avenue Friday afternoon.

 

There was no immediate word on the cause or injuries.

Five companies, Hammonton, Elwood, Collings Lake, Nesco, Egg Harbor City and Newtonville responded.

The fire was brought under control after 7 p.m.
