EVFC Incident #27 03/20/2016 at 9:28pm - 18 Holly Dr. for an Activated C/O Fire Alarm

IncidentsDetected a gas odor in the house upon arrival. Found a leak behind the stove, shut off gas to the stove, and advised homeowner to call gas company.

EVFC Incident #26 03/19/2016 at 3:54pm - 4130 Anna Dr for Structure Fire

IncidentsCalled to the report of a structure fire at 3:54pm On arrival at 3:54pm found a detached garage, a shed and a camper fully involved. Chief 1600 called for mutual aid from Egg Harbor City Volunteer Fire Department,Germania Volunteer Fire Department, Nesco Volunteer Fire Company, South Egg Harbor Volunteer Fire Department, Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Company, Weekstown Volunteer Fire Company. Extinguished fire and checked for extension. Two other homes were damaged by the fire. 4126 Anna Dr & 509 Wharton Park Blvd. All units were clear at 6:03pm.

IncidentsReceived a call for basement full of smoke. Upon arrival found smoke conditions in the house. Used ventilation fans to clear the house and was released by sweetwater.

IncidentsATV caught fire and extended to woods. Assisted NJ Forest Fire Service with extinguishing ATV and woods. Total of 0.25 acres burned. NJ Transit police had train slowed down. All units cleared at 9:00pm

Atlantic County abandons regional dispatch

After a year of design work and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent, Atlantic County's centralized dispatch plan is effectively dead.

To pay about $351,000 to Stockton University in Galloway Township for its share of design of a building that would have housed both the county dispatch center and Stockton's police force.

But no further work will be done. "We are paying a final bill," said County Administrator Jerry DelRosso. "That's the end of that."

DelRosso said only six of 23 municipalities returned surveys with updated information on how much the towns are currently spending on emergency dispatch services. So the county did not have information needed to proceed.

Freeholder Ernest Coursey said that was a clear message most are not interested in pursuing the idea.

EVFC Incident #22 03/05/2016 at 4:48am - 5500 White Horse Pike for a MVA / Wires Down

IncidentsSingle car vehicle accident hit a pole. Wires were hanging down very low in west bound lanes. Closed west bound lanes and redirected traffic at Darmstadt Ave. Stood by until electric company arrived and removed wires. All units cleared scene at 6:02am
