Thursday, June 11 2026 @ 02:40 am EDT Elwood Fire Fighters Serving in the Military (Up-Date) Joseph Haden is currently serving in The Marines. Joe graduated from fire rescue training at Goodfellow AFB on June 17th. He graduated with honors at the head of his class. Joe is Currently serving a two year stint in Japan. Joe is serving as a Marine Firefighter. Specialist Timothy Brining is currently serving in the Army National Guard. In June 2009 Tim was Welcomed home after 9 months in Iraq serving as an Army Medic If you would like to thank him for his service you can e-mail him at: brining.tim@gmail.com The Elwood Vol Fire Company is very proud for our Firefighters serving in the Military. If you would like to send a free printed post card to U.S. military personnel stationed overseas showing your support and appreciation for their service to our country go to: www.letssaythanks.com Incident #71 8/22/2008 - 433 Burdick Ave for a Shed Fire The Elwood Fire Company along with Sweetwater Fire Company were called to 433 Burdick ave for a shed fire on August 22 at 12:13pm. On arrival Chief Tomasco found it to be fully involved and called for a pumper from Hammonton. Engine 16-3 arrived and quickly extinguished the fire before it spread any further. All units were clear at 12:58pm.

Click here for more photos Incident #64 Duerer St Near Mossmill Rd for MVA Roll Over. The Elwood Fire Company was called out at 3:42am on July 27th for an MVA w/roll over. On arrival at 3:47am Rescue 16-4, Engine 16-3 and Tanker 16-5 with a full crews, used the thermal camera to help police look for the driver. The driver was never located. All units were clear at 5:35am
