The Elwood Fire Company Welcomes Home One of Their Own
Specialist Timothy C. Brining returned home Tuesday from a 9 month tour of Iraq were he serviced as a Army Medic. Tim has been an Elwood Firefighter since he was 16 yrs old. The Elwood Fire Company and the Mullica Police escorted Tim home with lights & sirens
Incident #34 05/19/2009 at 7:45pm - 252 Mulberry St for A Woods Fire
The Elwood Fire company was called to the report of a woods fire at 7:45pm on Tuesday May 19th 2009. Engine 16-3 responded and extinguished the 25'X25' fire. Forest Fire C-8 & C8A also responded. All units were clear at 8:03pm. This is the second intentionally set brush fire this week. If you see anything suspicious call the Mullica Police at 965-1200. Call Recording This is a VOX recording.
Incident #33 05/18/2009 at 8:05pm - Rt30 Near Burdick Ave for a Brush Fire
On Monday May 18th at 8:07pm The Elwood Fire Company responded to the area of Rt 30 and Burdick ave for the report of the sighting of smoke. A brush fire was found in the area of the old drive in. Crews assisted Forest Fire C-8 & C-8A with extinguishment. All crews were clear at 8:45pm. Call Recording This is a VOX recording.
Incident #32 05/17/2009 at 4:39am - Rt 30 Near The State Police Lab for a MVA vs Pole & Overturned The Elwood Fire Company's Engine16-3, Rescue 16-4 & Support 16-1 responded to a MVA car vs pole w/rollover on Rt 30 near the State Police Lab at 4:39am on Sunday May 17th 2009. Crews assisted with traffic and wash down. One person was transported to Atlanticare Kessler by Hammonton Rescue. All units were clear at 5:34am. Call Recording This is a VOX recording.
