Fire Causes Minor Damage at Restaurant

Fire-Rescue News

AC Press

Published: Friday, April 17, 2009

Egg Harbor Township - A township restaurant had minor damage from a fire early Thursday.

The emergency call came in at about 2:30 a.m. for the former Our Place Too restaurant at Zion Road and Dover Avenue, Scullville Fire Chief Mike Fiedor said, adding that there was a small blaze inside and there was a lot of heavy, dense smoke.

More than 20 firefighters from the Bargaintown and Scullville volunteer fire departments battled the blaze, which took about 15 minutes to get under control, Fiedor said. The restaurant, which was under renovation, had little damage and no one was hurt, Fiedor said.

The fire is being investigated by township fire inspector Don Stauffer, Fiedor said.
