MILLVILLE - A two-car collision Tuesday afternoon on Sharp Street seriously injured two people.
Police said Vineland resident David Seibel was driving south on Sharp Street when his car crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Charlton, of Newfield.
Charlton was briefly trapped in the car and had to be extricated by the Millville Fire Department. She was taken by Millville Rescue Squad to a landing area and then airlifted to the trauma unit at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Her husband, Raymond Charlton, also was airlifted to the trauma unit.
Both Elizabeth and Raymond Charlton were listed in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday night.

An investigation by the Northfield Fire Department into the Dec. 18 fire at Mainland Medical Center could not determine a cause for the blaze, Assistant Fire Chief Lauren Crooks said.
The cause of the fire, which destroyed one of the three wings of the 1970s-era building on Zion Road, was ruled "accidental, but undetermined," Crooks said.
The fire appears to have started on the ground floor, Crooks said, in or near the office of oral surgeon Robert Fiedler.
The other wings, separated by a stairwell and breezeway, sustained smoke or minor water damage. The entire complex - 10 office suites that include 15 doctor's offices, several of which were vacant at the time of the fire - has been shut down by its owner, George Groch, for the foreseeable future.
Total damages to the building were estimated at about $2 million, Crooks said.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - A two-vehicle accident Saturday night on the Garden State Parkway sent several people to the hospital with minor injuries, according to State Police.
The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. when, according to police, one car hit the rear of the second car at milepost 42 northbound. One of the vehicles overturned and ended up on the driver's side, while the second car ran into the wooded median between the parkway lanes and ended up in the trees facing southbound. Several people were taken to the hospital, but police said all injuries were minor and everyone was conscious and alert. Police did not identify the crash victims.
State Police at the Bass River station are investigating. The accident backed up traffic from the accident scene south to the rest stop near Jimmie Leeds Road.

MILLVILLE - A fire that damaged a house on Seventh Street on Friday morning is under investigation but is not considered suspicious, city fire officials said.
The single-family home on the 300 block of North Seventh Street sustained heavy damage to the first floor, while there was some heat, smoke and water damage to the second floor, Millville fire Capt. Mike Lippincott said.
The firefighters were dispatched at 11:27 a.m. and arrived to find what Lippincott called "heavy fire" on the first floor.
"The one resident at home got out on her own," Lippincott said.
The resident, whose name was not immediately available, suffered some smoke inhalation and was treated and released at a local hospital.
Firefighters did not clear the scene until 2:56 p.m.
Lippincott said the fire has displaced the residents there, but the house may not be a total loss.
