Fire-Rescue News- Blazing Car Fire Shuts Down Route 47 in Dennis Township

 DENNIS TOWNSHIP-- A fully involved car fire shut down a section of Route 47 at around 2:45 p.m., on Saturday, April 17.

The Belleplain Fire Department responded to the scene at 169 Route 47 to contain the blaze.

Belleplain Emergency Corps also responded; no injuries were reported.

One driver was hospitalized after late-night, four-car accident on Route 206 in Hammonton Sunday.

Hammonton Police Chief Frank Ingemi said the accident was reported before 11 p.m. - on a stretch of Route 206 located about six miles north of Route 30, near Chew Road in Wharton State Forest.

MULLICA TOWNSHIP - Two teenagers were hurt Saturday morning when a pickup truck hit them as they rode bicycles on a hilly stretch of Columbia Road, police said.

One boy was suffered moderate head and chest injuries but was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus in Atlantic City, Mullica Detective Sgt. John Thompson said.
