All injuries were minor to moderate, Officer Thomas Rocco said. Manuel Marquez, 19, of Pleasantville, was driving west on the pike at about 7:35 p.m. when he went through a red light at Spruce Avenue and struck a car driven by Robert Gifford, 40, of Egg Harbor Township, Rocco said. Marquez had five passengers in his car, and Gifford had four. Seven people were taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center campuses in Atlantic City and Galloway Township.
