EVFC Incident #103 11/13/2011 at 10:44pm - 1247 Elwood Rd for a Structure Fire

Incidents

Upon arrival found fire in upstairs C&D corner, fire was kept to room of origin, put fire out vented, checked for extension and overhauled. Fire was investigated by Twp fire investigator.

MIZPAH-- Fire crews are on the scene of a structure fire on 3rd avenue in Mizpah.

The fire broke out in an abandoned house near Mizpah Road and 3rd Avenue around 4 this afternoon. Crews from Atlantic County and Gloucester County responded to the scene.

Fire fighters had to cut through over-grown shrubbery to access the burning house.

The house has been burned almost completely to the ground.

ATLANTIC CITY -- One man is in the hospital after a two-car accident on Route 40 in Atlantic City.

It happened before 4:30 p.m. in the area of Atlantic City High School.

Police say a white pick-up truck was pulled over on the side of the road to change a flat tire, when an oncoming vehicle struck it, causing the parked vehicle to catch fire. The driver of the pick-up was hit and sustained a non life-threatening head injury. He's currently being treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Traffic was detoured in the area as crews cleared the scene.
