Four members of the the Elwood Vol Fire Company (EVFC) traveled to the Pierce plant in Bradenton FL this week to inspect the new Rescue Pumper before delivery in the next few weeks.

Fire Rescue News - Firefighters battle blaze at Vineland glass factory

VINELAND - Firefighters doused an oil fire that erupted Monday in a glass factory.

The fire was reported at 4:38 p.m. at Gerresheimer Glass Co. at 91 W. Forest Grove Road. The company makes scientific glassware such as test tubes.

Fire Rescue News - Hamilton Township investigating Sunday night fire that destroyed home

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating what caused a fire that destroyed a home near the Atlantic City Expressway.

Firefighters spent two hours Sunday night dousing a blaze that apparently started in or around the unoccupied home.

Witnesses reported the blaze as a forest fire around 10:28 p.m., but firefighters from Cologne and Laureldale voluntary fire companies found the house engulfed in flames.

The fire destroyed the two-story home. Nobody was injured but the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service and firefighters from companies in Mays Landing and Germania also responded.
