Received a call to assist the police with traffic control at Elwood road and the White Horse Pike due to the traffic lights being out. trucks 1600 and 16-3 held the scene until replaced by the police.

Cover assignment. While there responded to a wires down call to Skip Morgan drive recalled by Weymouth Chief.

1600 arrived on scene and found front porch was on fire. Police department had used fire extinguishers to knock down the fire. Tanker 16-5 finished extinguishment and checked for extension. Fire was contained to the porch contents and furniture. State Fire Investigator responded and investigated. Cause of fire is unknown.

Called for an illegal burn at 5th and Reading. Confirmed the location to be in the Columbia Pit. Requested forest fire C8 to assist in getting to fire to extinguish it. Stood by until released by forest fire.

Received a call for smoke behind a rubbish yard. Arrived on scene and found a large pit of construction debris smoldering. The crew from Tanker 16-5 wet down the pile and cleared the scene. Alerted dispatch that the pile will smolder for a while but there was no safety threat. Tanker 16-5 cleared the scene.

Recalled by 1630 on location, false alarm
