Fire Rescue News- ONE PERSON KILLED AFTER CAR FLIPS

EGG HARBOR TWP. -- A Pleasantville man is dead after police say he lost control of his car Friday morning in front of a car dealership in Egg Harbor Township.

It happened at 1:15 a.m. in front of the Bennett's Chevrolet Dealership on the Black Horse Pike, in the Cardiff section of the township.

Police say that's where a Honda Civic driven by 20-year-old Laurin B. Morillo-Diaz was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike when he lost control of the car. The vehicle overturned, and Morillo-Diaz was thrown from the car then trapped under it when he came to rest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, 19-year-old Homero Vilorio Hidalgo of Atlantic City, was wearing a seat belt and was not seriously injured in the crash.

The incident damaged at least two vehicles on the lot of Bennett Chevrolet.

Traffic was detoured for approximately three hours while the crash was being investigated and cleared. Police were assisted by the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company. Pleasantville Police units responded to assist with crowd control at the scene of the crash.

This fatal crash is being investigated by Sergeant Albert Maiorano of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, assisted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Fire Rescue News- FIRE SENDS ONE PERSON TO HOSPITAL AND DISPLACES AT LEAST 19 RESIDENTS

EGG HARBOR CITY -- One person was sent to the hospital and at least 19 residents were displaced from their homes after a fire Tuesday morning at the Harbor City Apartment Complex.

Smoke filled the sky Tuesday morning as flames tore through building J of the Harbor City Apartment Complex around 1:45.

Fire Rescue News- FIREFIGHTERS BATTLING BLAZE AT APARTMENT COMPLEX

EGG HARBOR CITY-- Firefighters are currently on the scene of a structure fire at an apartment complex in Egg Harbor City.

The blaze at the Harbor City Apartment complex was first reported around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from at least three apartments on the second floor.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

An NBC 40 reporter is currently on the scene.

Fire Rescue News- WOMAN DIES IN MULLICA TWP. ACCIDENT

MULLICA TWP-- A 37 year old woman is dead after a head-on collision on Nesco Road just before 6 tonight.

Police say a 2012 Buick sedan and a 1996 Dodge Minivan collided head on near 3762 Nesco road. The drivers of each vehicle were trapped after the accident, and the Jaws of Life was needed to rescue them from their cars. The minivan caught fire as a result of the collision. The blaze was extinguished by a neighbor who rushed outside after hearing the collision.

Police say the driver of the minivan, an unidentified 37 year old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The minivan was occupied by three other passengers. Police say Miguel Santiago, 49, of Hammonton was in the passenger seat, he suffered chest injuries and was airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. Two juveniles, 8, and 5 years old, also suffered significant injures, they were both transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden.

Police say the driver of the Buick, 64 year old Judith Calderon, of Sweetwater, was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for head and chest injuries. Her passenger, 71 year old Joseph Calderone was also transported to Atlantic City for chest injuries.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time. The Township of Mullica Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them at (609) 561-7600

Fire Rescue News- KAYAKER RESCUED FROM GREAT EGG HARBOR BAY

EGG HARBOR TWP. -- Rescue crews have pulled a man from the water in the Great Egg Harbor Bay at Jeffers Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township.

Authorities on scene say a man in his 30's flipped his kayak and was thrown into the water around 4 o'clock.

He was in the water for about a half hour until a bystander noticed and contacted police.

The man is being transported to the hospital for what authorities say are precautionary measures.
