SOMERS POINT -- Firefighters battled a (UPS) truck fire on the Garden State Parkway on Wednesday morning.

It happened around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in the area of mile marker 28.5 southbound.

The UPS truck was fully engulfed and crews worked quickly to put out the blaze. Both lanes were closed for a short amount of time.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

OCEAN CITY-- A fast moving fire destroyed what some officials are calling one of the most beautiful homes on the island.

It was a multi–million dollar Ocean City home and neighbors say most of it was restored this winter in time for another summer season, but just after 3:30 Sunday afternoon the house went up in flames.

EGG HARBOR CITY -- Two men are dead after an accident in Egg Harbor City early Thursday morning.

It happened at 2:30 a.m. on Philadelphia Avenue, just north of Moss Mill Road.

Authorities say 21-year-old Kevin Jepson of Lower Bank, lost control of his Chevy Impala, crossed into the other lane, then crashed into several trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jepson's passenger, 23-year-old Christopher Keating Jr., of Egg Harbor City, was seriously injured and airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, for treatment. Authorities say he died Thursday afternoon.

The accident remains under investigation.
