WEYMOUTH TWP. -- Firefighters battled a large blaze that forced at least two people from the residence.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday on the 1400 block of Route 50 near Lafayette Street.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze in less than an hour, but officials say the home suffered severe damage.
Two women leasing the property escaped without any injuries.
Authorities, however, say several pets may not have survived the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
