Fire Fighter I Graduation The Elwood Vol. Fire Company is pleased to welcome three new Firefighters who just graduated from Fire Fighter I on July 10th 2023.
EVFC Incident #73 07/08/2023 at 4:13am - 2780 7th Ave in Sweetwater for an Activated Fire Alarm Recalled by 1630 on location confirmed false alarm.
EVFC Incident #72 07/07/2023 at 5:09am - 4839 White Horse Pike in Elwood for a motor vehicle accident with entrapmentCalled for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Vehicle hit a utility pole and two trees. Rescue 16-2 responded and started extrication. While on scene, paramedics requested a helicopter. Sweetwater was called to handle the landing zone. Helicopter would not fly due to fog. Removed patient from vehicle. Police called in the pole number and electric company was on scene.
2 firefighters killed, multiple injured while battling cargo ship fire at Port Newark
PORT NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Two Newark firefighters were killed after they became trapped while fighting a fire on a ship docked at Port Newark Wednesday night.
