EVFC Incident #94 08/31/2016 at 10:05pm - 3238 White Horse Pike for a MVA car vs PoleCar struck pole. Minor injuries. Cleaned up fluid and debris on roadway. Stood by for lighting. Atlantic electric arrived shorty before clearing scene.
EVFC Incident #93 08/30/2016 at 5:42pm - 1011 4th Ave for an inside Natural Gas LeakResident left stove on all day. Upon arrival, found strong concentration of gas in house. Opened all windows and used positive pressure fan to ventilate. Checked all pipping with detector. No gas leaks found.
One dead in Northfield fire
NORTHFIELD - A woman is dead after a house fire that collapsed the roof of a one-story rancher on Bay Drive on Saturday. Officials have not identified the victim. City tax records show the home is owned by William and Roseann Eisenhardt. Mayor Erland Chau confirmed the woman's death and said the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is handling the investigation because it was a fatality. He said authorities will resume searching the home Sunday, adding police will be stationed at the home overnight......Continue Reading Fire Chief Bruce Cummings said the blaze did not appear suspicious but directed all other questions to the Prosecutor's Office. A Prosecutor's Office spokesman did not respond to a call for additional information.
Northfield house fire possibly fatal
NORTHFIELD - Firefighters from throughout the region battled a blaze Saturday afternoon that collapsed the roof of a one-story rancher on Bay Drive and may have killed someone. Initial reports said a victim was inside the home at 2200 Bay Drive, which city tax records show is owned by William and Roseann Eisenhardt. Fire Chief Bruce Cummings said the blaze does not appear suspicious but directed all other questions to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. A Prosecutor's Office spokesman has not responded to a call for comment. |
