Fire Rescue News - FIRE BURNING IN WHARTON STATE FOREST

ATSION--New Jersey's Forest Fire Service is working to contain a fire in the Wharton State Forest in southern New
Jersey's Pinelands region.

Division Warden Bill Edwards said the blaze was expected to spread to about 170 acres before it's contained. No homes are threatened and there have been no reports of injuries. Edwards said the fire was about 25 acres when it was discovered at about 7:30 a.m. Monday. He said firefighters hoped to have it contained by Monday night. Forty-five firefighters are at the scene. The fire site is in southern Burlington County, about 10 miles northeast of Hammonton.

Fire Rescue News - FIRE DESTROYS TRAILER HOME IN EHT

EGG HARBOR TWP. -- An early afternoon blaze just off Fire Road guts a home in a trailer park in Egg Harbor Twp.

Farmington Fire Chief Leonard Tilly says it took 4 township fire companies about an hour to bring the fire under control.

Shortly after 12 noon, calls came in of smoke pouring from a home at 3203 Bowen Ave, off of Fire Road between Tilton Road and Route 40. Flames were coming out from the front of the trailer when officials arrived.

Tilly says no one was home at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported among the firefighters and emergency officials called in to the fight the blaze.

Traffic on Tilton Road and Fire Road were blocked until crews put out the flames.

An investigation into what sparked the fire is ongoing.

Fire Rescue News - FIRE BREAKS OUT AT E.H.T. HOME, QUICKLY UNDER CONTROL

EGG HARBOR TWP.-Officials are investigating a fire that broke out at a home in the Cardiff section of the township.

Firefighters were called to a home on the 100 block of Lucille Drive around 10:45 Wednesday for reports of a fire. Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze that was said to be coming from the back of the house.

There is no word at this time what caused the fire. It remains under investigation.
