An Egg Harbor City house was destroyed by fire Thursday, fire officials said.

Egg Harbor City Volunteer Fire Department Chief Butch Kienzle said the home, located in the 400 block of Havana Avenue, was “non-livable” after the blaze, which started at about 3:45 p.m.

Kienzle said the homeowner was home when the fire started, but the fire was reported by several Havana Avenue residents when it started.

No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation.
