TRENTON - A Vineland man has been indicted on charges he set his aunt's car on fire and tried to collect insurance money, state Attorney General Paula Dow said Thursday.

Kristopher Wynder, 20, of Vineland, was charged Wednesday with second-degree conspiracy, second-degree aggravated arson, third-degree arson, third-degree insurance fraud and third-degree attempted theft by deception.

The second fire in Brigantine in less than 10 hours destroyed one house and damaged two others on Alberta Drive on Tuesday afternoon, police and fire officials said, leaving two families displaced.

Fire-Rescue News- Cape May Court House man, 54, accused of starting six fires in Middle Township

A Cape May Court House man has been charged with starting six fires in the area.

Middle Township police arrested Carl Peterson, 54, on Monday. He is charged with aggravated arson and is being held at the Cape May Count Jail on $25,000 bail.

Police responded to reports of several fires in the woods behind the Acme shopping center on South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House, the most recent of which occurred early Monday morning.

Upon arriving at the scene of the latest incident, police found Peterson near where the fires were started.

No injuries as a result of the fires were reported. All six fires were quickly extinguished, police said.
