VENTNOR -- Two people have been displaced and their home damaged by a fire early Wednesday morning.

Crews were called to a home near the intersection of Richards and Ventnor Avenues around 11:00am where a fire broke out in the lower level unit of a two story apartment house.

Fortunately the two people inside were able to get to safety without sustaining any injuries. However, officials estimated the damage at close to $100,000.

For now the cause remains under investigation. The Red Cross is also working to relocate the displaced residents.

EGG HARBOR CITY - Police are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a 120-year-old vacant warehouse on the White Horse Pike Tuesday afternoon, causing traffic detours and wafting clouds of smoke into the city's downtown.
