Broken water lines in basement spaying water on electric hot water heater causing electrical fire. Homeowner turned off electric at breaker panel. 1600A used a fire extinguisher on fire. Fire was contained to the water heater, no extension. Ventilated house and basement.

Upon arrival found a smoke detector in alarm(Z34),reset thy system ant the alarm cleared.

C/O detector activated by long use of the oven with improper ventilation. Ventilated and advised to open a window when using the oven for more then an hour.

Received a call about a wood/brush fire behind the Elwood School. Arrived on scene to the homeowner burning brush. Instructed the homeowner to extinguish the fire. The homeowner extinguished the fire and we cleared the scene.

Called for the report on an activated fire alarm. 1601 on location found faulty detector. All units were clear at 10:30am

Called for a MVA, vehicle into the woods. On arrival, found that vehicle was not into the woods but off the side of the road. EMS and paramedics already on location. Driver had a medical emergency and passenger was able to stop the vehicle. No action needed from the fire department.
