HAMMONTON - City officials confirm a small plane caught fire after landing and skidding off of the runway at the Hammonton airport. Several local fire companies have been called in to assist in putting out the fire.

It appears the fixed wing multi-engine plane had just arrived from Maryland. Authorities say the pilot and passengers are believed to be out and safe.
