LOWER TOWNSHIP – An Atlantic County plumber dialed 911 Monday after his hand got caught in a drain.
The plumber, Matt Cunningham, 28, of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Buena, was using a metal snake to unclog a pipe at the Channel Apartments when the tubing coiled and tightened around his hand and pulled him toward the clogged drain, police said...Continue Reading

A firefighter will appear today in court in Kentucky on charges connected with terroristic threats that culminated in a school lockdown in Atlantic City.
Robert Wenzel, 42, of Galloway Township, was arrested in Winchester, Ky., Monday night, the same day Galloway police issued the warrant for terroristic threats, according to Galloway police Capt. EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - An Oakland Avenue home lies in shambles with broken walls, blackened vinyl siding and a caved-in roof, the result of a large fire Thursday afternoon.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP The thumping sound of helicopter blades preceded the state Forest Fire Service’s Bell 206 JetRanger as it flew south over the Mullica River and turned to survey Hog Island, where it burned 132 acres of reeds Friday morning.
