Fire Damages Pool Manufacturing Facility
Originally published April 8, 2009 By BEN MERITT Staff Writer HAMMONTON -- Authorities are trying to determine what sparked a multi-alarm fire that caused significant damage to the Water World Fiberglass Pools manufacturing facility on Reading Avenue. HAMMONTON - An overnight fire destroyed the operations building at Water World Fiberglass Pools N.E. Inc. on Reading Avenue.  EGG HARBOR TWP--Lightning is most likely to blame, for a house fire along the 1000 block of Old Zion Road in the Bargaintown section of Egg Harbor Township.
Officials say two residents were home during the height of a thunderstorm just after 11 am when it was reported that lightning struck. The bedroom section of the ranch style home is a complete loss and there is heavy smoke and heat damage to the rest of the home. Officials say the residents will be staying with family. The exact cause remains under investigation.

Egg Harbor Township - The lightning that struck the region may have started a fire that damaged a home in the Bargaintown section of the township Monday morning. An emergency call came in at about 11:45 a.m. about a house in the 1300 block of Old Zion Road. Bargaintown Fire Chief Tom Nace said 30 firefighters from the Bargaintown, Scullville and Somers Point volunteer fire companies responded to the scene and took 10 minutes to put out the blaze....Continue Reading Call Recording This is a VOX recording.
