EVFC Incident #109 10/05/2018 at 2:00pm - S. Whitehorse Pike and Warton Blvd in for a motor vehicle crash Received a call for a motor vehicle accident and a report of smoke coming from the vehicle. Arrived on scene and removed the battery connection. No smoke was found. Recalled all units except station 160. All units were cleared the scene at 3:09pm.
EVFC Incident #108 10/03/2018 at 5:36pm - 3416 Nesco Rd in for an Activated Fire AlarmCooking Incident, all units were clear at 5:44pm
EVFC Incident #107 10/02/2018 at 6:23am - 112 Garfield Ave in for a Structure FireElwood was requested for mutual aid for a structure fire in Chesilhurst. Was unable to provide mutual aid, not enough crew response.
EVFC Incident #106 10/01/2018 at 4:03pm - Moss Mill Rd and Elwood Road in Elwood for a Reported Vehicle FireCalled for a vehicle fire. On arrival, found no fire but vehicle had a broken brake line that was spraying on to rotor and smoking. Moved vehicle out of roadway. Patrol remained on location until tow truck arrived. All Station 160 units cleared at 4:17pm
EVFC Incident #105 09/19/2018 at 12:24am - 4800 White Horse Pike in Elwood for a Possible Gas leakCheck house for gas leak, found no evidence of gas leaking. Turned scene over to police. All units were clear at 12:50am.
Pressure increase reported in Massachusetts gas pipeline, NTSB says
(CNN)The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate a pressure increase detected in a natural gas pipeline north of Boston as it tries to figure out what caused a series of fires and gas explosions in three Massachusetts towns, NTSB Chairman Robert Sumwalt said Saturday at a news conference. A pipeline controller working at a console in Columbus, Ohio, noticed the pressure increase in a pipeline in Lawrence, Massachusetts, one of the three towns where the fires occurred, Sumwalt told CNN's Alison Kosik. He didn't say when the pressure increase was noticed.
"Certainly we will interview that pipeline controller," he said.
Also Saturday, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said most people who had to evacuate their homes in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover should be able to go......Continue Reading
