DENNIS TOWNSHIP-- Two motorcyclist were injured, one seriously here on Route 9 in front of the Avalon campground in a three vehicle crash. The crash occurred at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 24.

John (Jack) Valerio Jr., 51, of Hammonton was airlifted to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by Medevac 5. State Police said the man suffered a head injury. His condition is serious but stable.....Continue Reading

Fire-Rescue News- Electrical fire displaces family on Mansion Avenue in Atlantic City

An electrical fire forced seven Atlantic City residents out of their home Sunday evening, Fire Chief Dennis Brooks said.

A fuse box ignited about 6 p.m. in a three-story brick house on the unit block of South Mansion Avenue. Electrical service was shut down and firefighters quickly controlled the fire, confining it to a small space.

The residents are temporarily displaced, Brooks said. It was not clear exactly what caused the fire.

Fire-Rescue News- Fires break out near expressway in Atlantic City

Two small fires off of the Atlantic City Expressway in Atlantic City on Saturday afternoon were under control by 6:45 p.m., State Police Sgt. Paul Steiner said.

One was just north of the expressway at mile marker 1.5, by the railroad tracks, and was possibly started by a spark off of a train, Steiner said. Another was a bus that caught fire in Hansen's Bus World, in between the expressway and Route 322, with no immediate cause available.

There were no reported injuries, Steiner said.
