ATLANTIC CITY — A two-alarm fire Friday afternoon displaced three people and damaged a quirky retail landmark on Atlantic Avenue Friday afternoon, but fire officials said the building was not significantly damaged.

But fire officials said damage was largely contained to a top-floor apartment.

Multi Vehicle Accident in Hammonton

A multi vehicle MVA was reported at about 12:45pm Friday July 2nd at Rt30 & Central Ave. Hammonton Fire and rescue responded. Reports were that one vehicle was over turned.

Fire Rescue News -Local radio personality dies in Egg Harbor Township crash

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - A local radio personality was killed Tuesday afternoon when his vehicle went off Tremont Avenue and hit a tree, police said.

Michael Ray, 43, of the Bargaintown section of the township, was driving south on Tremont Avenue near Bates Avenue at about 3:54 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the road and struck a tree on the northbound side, police said.

Fire Rescue News - Barnegat forest fire contained but still burning, not under control

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP — Fewer firefighters were needed to watch over a still-burning 900-acre Barnegat Township forest fire Tuesday, but the fire still was not under control, officials said.

A Monday evening storm dropped nearly a half-inch of rain on the fire, said Steve Holmes, assistant division fire warden for the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

“Some places had an inch, some had nothing,” Holmes said.

 An elderly woman is dead after a morning house fire in Mays Landing, Hamilton Township Police Lt. Ed Barr said Monday

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP — A forest fire that has scorched several hundred acres off Route 539 in Warren Grove was deemed 70 percent contained Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
