VINELAND - A local community is helping a Vineland volunteer firefighter and his family get back on their feet after a fire displaced them from their home.

home," said Michael.
All nine people in the home got out of the blaze safely but the property sustained severe damage leaving the Marroccelli's without a place to stay.
"We pretty much lost material possessions, and so we don't have much of anything," said Michael's wife Theresa.
That quickly changes however, as members of the community began to reach out to the family to offer their support.
"It's very heat warming," said Theresa. "You don't even realize the level of support until you start getting phone calls to say, what can I do."
Local churches, the Vineland Fire Department, friends, and other provided the Marroccelli's with gift cards, clothing, food, and most importantly emotional support.
"People calling and saying come over to our house we are going to cook dinner for you, there's just been so much offers of support," said Theresa.
The Marroccelli's even received new uniforms so their children could return to school.
"It's just amazing how everyone got together and helped us out with everything," said Michael's son Dante.
"We're working with the family right now to get a list of items that are needed," said Chief Robert Pagnini.
The Vineland Fire Department is encouraging the community to drop of items for the Marroccelli's at Station 3 Thursday night.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
