LINWOOD -- A structure fire broke out in Linwood Friday morning around 2:30 a.m. that fire officials believe may have been started by a lightning strike.

The house, part of the Fisher Woods Housing Development, was engulfed by flames causing three township fire departments to respond.

According to fire officials, no one was injured during the incident, as the family is said to be away on vacation.

Fire officials also said they are still unsure what caused the fire, but they believe a lightning strike could be a strong possibility with the fire starting close to the attic.

The three fire departments managed to contain the blaze to the upper levels, but the rest of the house did suffer heavy smoke and water damage.
