Fire/Rescue News - ATLANTIC CITY POLICE INVESTIGATING POSSIBLE CASE OF ARSON
ATLANTIC CITY-Atlantic City Police are investigating a possible case of arson.
Heat warped metal frames are all that remain of Merceda Gooding's 2008 Toyota and 1997 Ford Explorer.
Gooding, a lighthouse plaza resident and a former Atlantic City Housing Authority Commissioner, believes she is the victim of a retaliation, after speaking out on living conditions in her building.
"We was told that we were going to be to be retaliated against when we marched against the elevator that was broken for 5 months.
And I do know that this is retaliation against me because of problems going on in the building."
Police have not confirmed whether or not, they believe the cars were actually firebombed, but have said an investigation is ongoing.
