Plane Crash in Hammonton
The Hammonton Fire & Rescue departments was called to 66 S Myrtle Rd at about 3:15pm today for a plane crash into a field. On arrival the fire crews found the pilot out of the air craft and fuel leaking. They cut the cables to the battery and made the area safe.

HAMMONTON - A pilot walked away from an emergency landing in a blueberry field Saturday afternoon, police said.
Chris Watt, of Mullica Township, was practicing takeoffs and landings to and from the Hammonton Municipal Airport when the engine failed on his small plane, Patrolman Brian Grasso said.
He came down in a field near Mirtle Street and Route 206 at about 3:12 p.m., Grasso said. Watt, who was flying alone, was uninjured.
"When I got there, the guy was walking around," Grasso said.
