GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - An Atlantic City man and his two passengers were injured when he lost control of his Mercury Mountaineer on a wet roadway Sunday morning, police said.

According to police reports, Timothy Jackson, 31, was driving west on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) at 5:08 a.m. when his car left the road, rotated as it crossed the centerline, and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the road.

The vehicle then continued moving sideways before striking several trees and rolling over on its side.

Jackson was taken by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, mainland division, for a shoulder injury. His passengers, Alexandria Warren, of Atlantic City, and Arnold Fisher, of Galloway Township, were also treated for injuries at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, mainland and city divisions, respectively.

The road was closed for about two hours.

The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Rich Barber and Detective Chris McGinty.
