HAMMONTON - Police have identified the driver and passenger involved in a one-car crash Wednesday night on an Atlantic City Expressway exit ramp.

Shortly before 9 p.m. the vehicle was traveling east on the Atlantic City Expressway at milepost 28.3 when it overturned on the eastbound ramp for Exit 28, according to State Police.

The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Campanella, 18, of Hammonton, was uninjured, police said. But his passenger, Joseph Kane, 19, of Atco, suffered head injuries.

Kane was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Hammonton Fire Company and flown to the trauma unit of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was listed in stable condition Thursday afternoon.

Police said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
