LOS ANGELES - A fire truck in Los Angeles has sunk into a large hole caused by a burst water main.
Fire department spokesman Rich Matheney says the sinkhole was reported at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday. No injuries have been reported.
Department of Water and Power spokeswoman Kim Hughes says the fire engine was responding to a 6-inch cast iron pipe break on a small residential street in the Valley Village neighborhood and didn't realize the ground was unstable.
She says the water in the area was being turned off.
