Called for a pole fire. On arrival, found top of pole on fire. Stood by until Atlantic City Electric arrived, cut power, and extinguished pole.

Turned gas off at dollar general. Celling tiles fell in building. Gutters were clogged. Scene turned over to Hammonton due to two other calls at the same time.

Egg Harbor and South Egg Harbor responded, telephone pole hit by lighting, sent current through wire into the building, small electrical fire extinguished by Egg Harbor City. Notified AC Electric and checked for extension.

Called for smoke investigation in structure. Investigated attic and surrounding of house for fire and heat. Found that ridge of roof was struck by lightning and exited gable end of house through the aluminum siding. Scene was turned over to 1630A.
