Incident #6 Possible Structure Fire - Hammonton

Incidents

While The Elwood Fire Company was on a cover assignment at Hammonton on Saturday the 19th. They were called to a report of a possible structure fire at 68 South Chew Rd. at 6:33pm. Support 16-1 and Engine 16-3 responded with a crew of 7. On arrival at 6:39pm they found the fire was put out by the home owner with a fire extinguisher. The EVFC crew removed the microwave that had caught fire and checked for extension with the thermal camera . They also used a positive pressure fan to remove smoke from the home. All units were clear at 6:56pm.

Incident #5 3411 Moss Mill rd for a lift assist w/Hammonton Rescue

IncidentsTuesday the 15th at 5:15pm the Elwood Fire Company was again call to 3411 Moss Mill rd to assist Hammonton Rescue with lifting a patient out of their home and assisted them in taking him to the hospital. Support 16-1 with at crew of 4 responded along with the Chief. They arrived at 5:21pm and were clear at 5:45pm.

Incident #4: 3411 Moss Mill rd Lift assist w/Atlantic Care

IncidentsMonday the 14th at 7:05pm the Elwood Fire Company was call to 3411 Moss Mill rd to assist an Atlantic Care unit with lifting a patient into their home. Support 16-1 with at crew of 4 responded along with the Chief. They arrived at 7:10pm and were clear at 7:26pm.

Incident #3: Cover Assignment Laureldale Station 18-3

Incidents

On Thursday the 10th at 12:43pm the Elwood Fire Company was called to a Cover Assignment at Laureldale Station 18-3. Unfortunately we were unable to supply a crew.

Incident #2: MVA and LZ assignment

IncidentsOn Tuesday the 8th at 4:58pm the Elwood Fire Company was called to Route 30 and Elwood Rd for a MVA and Helicopter Landing at the Elwood School. Engine 16-3 responded to the MVA for a gasoline leak and EMS assist. Tanker 16-5 responded to the Elwood School and handled the landing zone. One person was airlifted to Atlantic City Trauma Unit and one person was transported to Kessler Hospital in Hammonton by Hammonton Rescue. All units were clear at 5:51pm.

Incident #1 for 2008 - Chimney Fire

IncidentsOn Monday Jan. 7th at 6:02am the Elwood Fire Company along with Nesco, Weekstown and Sweetwater were called to 2174 Elwood Rd for the report of a chimney fire. Engine 16-3 responded with a full crew and arrived on location shortly after. The chimney fire was out on arrival and the crew cleared the fire out in the fire place, they also laddered the roof and used chimney cleaning equipment to remove any burning embers. The home owner was advised not to use the fire place until it could be inspected and cleaned. All units were clear at 6:51am.

EVFC Incident #1 12/31/1969 at 7:00pm - 5244 Pleasant Mills Rd for a Woods Fire

IncidentsCalled to assist Sweetwater Fire company on a woods fire. En route rerouted to standby at Station 163. On arrival at Station 163 all Station 160 units were recalled and clear 8:23pm
