EVFC Incident #26 03/05/2025 at 11:50am - 2651 5th Ave in Weekstown for a Smoke Investigation

IncidentsCalled for interior smoke. Residence had a slight haze coming from the pellet stove. Checked for extension nothing found. Found that insulation between flue pipes caught fire. Removed debris. No further action taken. Turned over to homeowner to do repairs.

EVFC Incident #23 02/28/2025 at 11:49am - 3200 Moss Mill Rd in Elwood for a structure fire

IncidentsCalled for a structure fire. Forest Fire C8 arrived and deployed a booster line and confirmed a well involved garden shed fire next to the woods. Elwood Tanker 16-5 arrived and utilized 1 3/4 bumper line for fire attack. Engine 16-3 and Hammonton engine 9-9 crew provided manpower and assisted with overhaul. Applied foam on shed to hit hotspots. Turned scene over to homeowner when deemed safe and fire was fully extinguished. Engine 16-33 provided standby for Elwood.

IncidentsCalled for a brush fire. 1603 arrived and found a 1/2 acre grass fire. Held assignment to tanker Tanker16-5. 16-5 supplied water to forest fire C-8.

EVFC Incident #21 02/20/2025 at 6:41pm - 500 Locust St in Elwood for a Vehicle Fire

IncidentsCalled for the report of a vehicle fire. updated by PD that it was a trailer Full of car parts fully involved 50 ft from structure. Command arrived and ordered Tanker16-5 to lay supply line and go in service with 2 1/2. Extinguished fire and overhauled. Notified state Fire Marshall to investigate, They will come out tomorrow.
