Covered up the Laureldale fire house with Tanker 16-5,cleared at 14:30

Received a call for an appliance fire. Tanker 16-5 Arrived on scene and found a dryer on fire. Extinguished the fire and removed the dryer from the residence. Provided ventilation to clear the smoke from the dwelling.

Received a call for an activated fire alarm at the Elwood school. Arrived on scene and investigated. Found a defective head outside the library. Tried blowing the dust out of the unit but did not help. The school is having the head replaced in the morning. Reactivated the system without the head and cleared the scene.

Received a call for a public assist. Utility16-4 was requested to help pull out a Township front loader that got sunk in the mud at the Rec. fields. 16-4 arrived on scene to try and pull the loader out but was unsuccessful. Advised the operator to contact a heavy wrecker to help recover the machine.

Called for CO alarm, checked house with meter, no readings in house. Detector was faulty

Stood by for vehicle to be up righted by tow company. Deenergized vehicle and cleaned debris from roadway.
