One of the most exciting 4-H events that takes place each summer is the annual county fair. The Atlantic County 4-H Fair is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 7, 8, and 9, 2008. It is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the David C. Wood 4-H Fairgrounds and Center, Route 50 in South Egg Harbor (one mile south of White Horse Pike).

The focus is family-oriented fun at little cost—no admission fee and a nominal parking fee. A variety of activities are going on at the same time to attract the diverse range of interests. Some come to see the horses, livestock, and other animals on exhibit, others to watch the entertainment, and still others who like to look at the wonderful 4-H projects. The young at heart enjoy the rides, games, and good times with their friends—there is something for everyone!
