Responded to a structure fire. 1600 arrived on scene and confirmed a garage fully involved and connected to the dwelling. Tanker 16-5 arrived on scene and pulled two lines and knocked down the fire before it could extend into the dwelling. Went into the attic and provided ventilation to clear the smoke and checked for extension. After the fire was extinguished all personnel assisted with overhaul. Tanker 16-5 held the scene until the state fire investigators completed their work. Once cleared, 16-5 hosed down any remaining hotspots and cleared the scene.
