HAMMONTON -- The New Jersey Forest Fire Service conducted a controlled burn Monday in Hammonton.
Officials say they are burning 300 acres to eliminate fuels on the forest floor that could start a wildfire. They say the process is one hundred percent safe and they take every precaution necessary to keep residents from danger.
The process could take a few weeks depending on weather conditions.
