PORT ELIZABETH-- A two alarm fire destroyed a house on the 100 block of Port Elizabeth-Cumberland road.
Fire crews responded to the 100 block of Port Elizabeth-Cumberland Road around 5 this evening.
When they arrived, heavy smoke and flames were showing from the upper level of the building.
Multiple fire departments were called in to fight the blaze.
Crews on scene told an NBC 40 photographer that a woman was home at the time of the fire, and managed to escape unharmed.
Police later confirmed that there were no injuries. The fire is currently under investigation.
